The giant vegetables just keep getting bigger! This year the biggest pumkin weighed in at 300lb (136kg)whilst the biggest cabbage weighed 35lb (15.9kg) and the marrow 62lb (28.1kg). Meanwhile the largest crop of potatos from a single tuber (variety Blue Belle) weighed a healthy 2.68kg (nearly 6lb). There were of course plenty of entries of more normal sized vegetables to be admired.
As usual volunteer members of the FGA had been busily baking delicious cakes for sale with refreshments.
There were also beautiful displays of flowers and fruit
